- Complete inspections, bulk sampling abatement oversight, air monitoring and assessments of various types of projects, including but not limited to manufacturing plants, warehouses, public and private buildings, schools, and residential homes.
- Assist with reports for projects completed using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other programs as well as scoping projects and preparing proposals with senior staff members.
- Conduct asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and support abatement projects, indoor air quality and mold investigations, mold and water damage remediation, ventilation assessments, and the development and review of health and safety plans (HASPs).
- Work in a client-focused consulting environment with an emphasis on industrial hygiene, including asbestos, lead-based paint, hazardous building materials management, indoor air quality and mold evaluations, and chemical exposure assessments.
- Perform inspections and surveys for asbestos, lead, mold and water intrusion, indoor air quality, and other regulated building materials.
- Coordinate with agencies, management, staff, and subcontractors to define project scope and schedules.
- Conduct advanced technical surveys and oversee subcontractor work.
- Accurately document field activities using the provided tools.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate field observations and laboratory data.
- Prepare technical memoranda, summary reports, and other client deliverables.
- Receive technical and business mentorship from senior members of the EH&S consulting team.
- Mentor and support junior staff within the Industrial Hygiene group.
- Bachelor of Science in a science related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the professional services or consulting business.
- State specific asbestos training and licensure.
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and state regulations for asbestos, etc.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (preferred).
- Experience with report preparation (preferred).
- Industry recognized certification in industrial hygiene (e.g. CIH, IHT) and/or indoor environmental or air quality consulting (e.g. CIEC, CIAQP) (preferred).
- NIOSH 582 training (preferred).
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team in a fast-paced environment (preferred).
