Autodesk Fabrication CADmep Database Manager

We're looking for an experienced Autodesk Fabrication CADmep Database Manager to join our VDC/BIM team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and improving our Autodesk Fabrication database and ITM content that supports our sheet metal, mechanical piping, and plumbing operations

.This position is focused on database administration and content development. It is not a detailing, modeling, clash detection, or shop drawing position

What You'll Do
  • Create, maintain, and enhance Autodesk Fabrication ITMs and database content.
  • Develop fabrication services, templates, product lists, materials, connectors, and specifications.
  • Test new and updated content for accuracy and functionality across CADmep, Revit Fabrication Parts, CAMduct, and downstream fabrication workflows.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, connectivity problems, sizing errors, and content inconsistencies.
  • Manage database updates, version control, backups, documentation, and release processes.
  • Collaborate with VDC, fabrication, estimating, field teams, manufacturers, and vendors to improve fabrication content and database standards.
  • Develop documentation, standards, and training materials to support users and maintain consistency across the database.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of Autodesk Fabrication CADmep database administration or ITM development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Autodesk Fabrication databases and ITM creation.
  • Knowledge of commercial sheet metal, mechanical piping, and plumbing fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret fabrication standards, specifications, manufacturer data, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Revit Fabrication Parts, CAMduct, or Trimble FABShop.
  • Hands-on fabrication, detailing, or shop experience.
  • Experience with database migrations, version upgrades, and content management.
