Senior Turbine Specialist

• Serve as a design authority for an engineering discipline
• Complete assignments across multiple moderate-size projects or portions of major projects cost-effectively
• Ensure assignments comply with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards
• Perform commissioning activities for assigned Turbine Control projects
• Work with customers to shape and deliver solutions
• Seek customer feedback to drive improvements
• Create work plans and cost estimates for the project portfolio
• Ensure quality and timely implementation within targeted costs
• Coordinate design manufacturing/staging, testing, installation, and commissioning
• Coach engineering colleagues on translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation
• Share best practices and lessons learned from past projects
• Report to the Turbine Controls Ops Manager
• Deliver Steam Turbine and Combustion Turbine projects as part of the Turbine Controls Team

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience in turbine controls with focus on turbine commissioning projects
• Hands on experience of executing a variety of rotary equipment projects, focusing mainly on centrifugal type process compressors & compressor drives (Gas Turbines)
• Hands on experience on 7EA, 7FA, 9FA, 6B & 6FA Heavy Duty Gas Turbines
• Deep understanding of thermodynamics and statistical approach of sensor interaction
• Knowledge of structural and functional architecture of control systems and process knowledge to predict performance degradation, abnormality of operations, and operation point shift from design
• Experience executing projects with turbine OEM control systems, with major focus on SGT-600, Solar Gas Turbine, and GE LM series machines
• Knowledge of control philosophy for Oil, Gas & chemical plants
• Knowledge of field instrumentation, including sensors, transducers, and drives related to Pressure, Flow, Temperature, and Level
• Knowledge of ABB DCS (Symphony Plus/Harmony/Melody)
• Knowledge of network engineering and IT developments, including PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, and backup
• Knowledge of Windows operating system
• Excellent customer satisfaction and communication skills to provide alternative solutions
• Must have valid US work authorization

Demonstrates extensive experience in turbine controls and commissioning projects, with a strong focus on Gas Turbines and rotary equipment. Capable of delivering high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards.
