Citizens National Bank has an excellent opportunity available in our Bluffton market for a Staff Accountant. In this role you will be responsible to perform a variety of accounting duties accurately and within time constraints as assigned. You will assist the CFO by providing information, primarily financial in nature, about company activities that will assist management, various boards and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's financial position and future.

• Perform cash position counting, month-end processes, balancing and journal entries.
• Perform general ledger analysis of accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for presentation to senior management.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Oversee loan payment corrections for the Bank.
• Manage the daily liquidity function for the Bank.
• Ensure that the financial institutions accounting procedures are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• This position requires on-site presence for regular, successful performance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field. Some accounting experience preferred.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must possess stellar communication and organizational skills.
