• Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate financial risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making processes.
• Manage the annual budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.
• Conduct regular audits of financial processes and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance, addressing any discrepancies as needed.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
• Support the implementation of accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Proven experience in budget management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

• Experience in the maritime or logistics industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management software.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Greek and English, are advantageous.
• Previous experience with international financial operations or cross-border transactions.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
