Duties
Conduct physical inventories of diverse and specialized items.
Inputs screening requests to obtain logistics data on existing national stock numbers.
Conduct research for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
Determine capability and reliability of supply source to comply with costumer expectations.
Requirements Conditions of employment
The incumbent employee of this position may be required to work overtime.
This position requires employee to work under adverse environmental conditions.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in inventory management by conducting physical counts, recording data, or reporting discrepancies; conducting routine searches for supply and stock information using established databases; providing information to internal customers regarding the status of routine supply requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service.
OR
Education:
One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Logistic.. OR Combination of
Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
