Technical Specialist – Back-end Tech Lead

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon user specifications.
• Provides technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems.
• Possesses an in-depth knowledge of and works with the technical tools available for systems development and support.
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
• May assist with identifying training needs or with training of less experienced staff.
• May serve as project leader for specific projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree
• 7+ years of development experience using Java, building API enabled apps and event driven architecture
• Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures, knowledge of using databases including Oracle, Snowflake
• 2+ years of production support, infrastructure engineering or administration experience
• Experience with or good working knowledge of Dev Sec Ops ;
  Kubernetes or other container-based technologies including deployment pipelines
• Learning mindset with openness to learn new technologies, build things and experiment
• Certifications like cloud architect/engineer/developer are strongly preferred
• Experience working on product teams, awareness of agile practices

Demonstrates extensive experience in Java development, API-enabled applications, and event-driven architecture, along with a strong understanding of SQL and database management. Possesses a learning mindset and familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  practices and container-based technologies.
