Build an Aviation Career You’re Proud Of
At Standard Aero, we use our ingenuity and know-how to find solutions for the simple to the most complex challenges in aviation. Together, we get the job done and done well. Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.
As the Program Director, Component Repair Services, you’ll be responsible for achieving, monitoring, and reporting on strategic, operational and financial objectives of all program(s) for assigned strategic customer accounts, including engine component MRO. You’ll proactively engage in cross-functional processes to deliver long-term margin maximization for key contracts and produce high levels of customer satisfaction that drive business growth.
What you'll do:
Core Program Management Tasks (75%)
- Monitor and report on program performance across delivery metrics — TAT, SLA commitments, first-pass yield, cost, quality, and schedule — using integrated dashboards to identify risks and drive corrective action
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM programs and long-term strategic accounts — maintaining customer health, satisfaction, trust, and executive-level relationships on a daily basis; capture and document voice of customer including feedback, issues, and wins
- Own contract execution and alignment — verify scope, pricing, and schedule adherence; flag gaps early between what was sold and what is delivered; surface renewal risks and opportunities in partnership with the contract team
- Lead concessions negotiations associated with warranties, damaged/lost parts, penalties, rotables, and accounts receivable resolution; coordinate execution of negotiated contract terms
- Coordinate cross-functional program execution across operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality; manage urgent escalations with timely internal and external communication
- Analyze and manage financial performance — cost tracking, forecasting, profitability, and AOP support — to drive long-term margin expansion across assigned accounts
- Maintain Salesforce as the system of record — log program updates within 48 hours, deliver weekly status reports, and present professional executive-level program reviews to internal and customer leadership
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational performance, and program execution; establish and document repeatable processes that scale across accounts
- Lead business development and growth initiatives for assigned accounts — identifying and pursuing opportunities to grow beyond the current contract scope in support of AOP targets
- Identify new platform needs, scope expansions, and New Product Introduction (NPI) opportunities; connect the right sales contacts with customer stakeholders through warm, relationship-driven introductions
- Establish strategic plans for bid development on new programs, contract extensions, and amendments in close partnership with Sales leadership
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and formalized customer program reviews — delivering standardized, executive-quality updates to internal stakeholders and customer leaders
- Collaborate closely with Sales on key growth initiatives, market research-based programs, and strategies to expand existing market share and capture new opportunities
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the aviation industry (Manufacturing (OEM) and or/MRO).
- 10+ years of experience in Customer Facing, Business Development, Sales, Strategy, or Operations roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent education/experience.
- Ability to validate U.S. Employment Authorization and U.S. Person Status.
- Ability to work onsite in our Cincinnati, OH office for daily work.
- Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
