Shift Availability

Ideal candidates must be able and flexible to work one of the assigned shifts:

  • Coating Operator 6pm-6am
  • Coating Operator 6am-6pm
  • Finishing Operator 2nd shift 2pm-10pm
Compensation

Hourly rates starting at $20/hour with shift differentials starting at $2/hour. The rate within this range is dependent on the individual's working department.

Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for leading machine set‑ups and changeovers, problem‑solving, making decisions on machine adjustments, and inspecting and packaging finished products to customer specifications. In addition, the Production Operator will be responsible for operating various coating, finishing, and/or powered industrial vehicles to move inbound and outbound products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine set‑up and changeover of machines, making adjustments as needed to process operations accordingly.
  • Run orders per product specifications and standard practices. This may include sorting, labeling, and packaging products per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices.
  • Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring tools, tape measures, etc.
  • Understand and implement quality standards and procedures.
  • Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher‑level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
  • Maintain the work area with necessary supplies to complete processes.
  • Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and ship material and/or finished products throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Support inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts and correcting discrepancies to achieve business goals.
  • Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility.
  • Contribute and participate in team decision‑making processes including problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Provide support in project work and other special requests.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
  • Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short‑notice requests.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and move around for extended periods.

Physical Requirements
  • Movement:
    May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting 50% of the time.
  • Lifting:
    May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds 50% of your shift.
  • Environment:
    May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures.
