Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care.

Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

This is a 1 year grant funded position (7/1/2026 – 6/30/2027)

Based in Williams and Paulding Counties

General Summary

The State Fatherhood Outreach & Engagement Coordinator provides key leadership role in the recruitment, engagement and retention of fathers in The Zepf Fatherhood Project. This position will provide leadership training staff on community outreach efforts and various interventions needed to retain fathers in the program. This position will work with other management staff in training and mentoring effective case management. This position will be a leader in facilitating evidence-based Nurturing Fathers and Fatherhood 101 sessions.

The role requires exceptional communication and engagement skills, a commitment to fatherhood and family systems, and the ability to connect fathers with community resources that support the strengthening of the family structure.
This position will provide direct supervision to Success Coaches in Williams and Paulding Counties. Certification in the Nurturing Fathers Curriculum is required within six (6) months of hire. Some evening and weekend hours, as well as regional travel, are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative and Program Development

  • Provide supervision, training, and monitor progress of Success Coaches to ensure program expectations are met.
  • Support development, implementation, and document new program initiatives and community and employer partnerships.
  • Works with fellow management staff to ensure all program activities align with grant objectives, staffing plans, and budget parameters.
  • Provide leadership in developing strategies to optimize program utilization and participant engagement.
  • Contribute annual planning and reporting to meet program and funding requirements.
  • Participate in agency meetings, cross-program collaborations, and community-based committees.
  • Assures program is achieving stated goals and objectives
  • Assures agency and federal regulations and guidelines are followed, e.g. CARF and. Establishes procedures when deemed necessary to meet these requirements.

Outreach and Engagement

  • Coordinate with Marketing department in developing and implementing marketing and outreach strategies to promote fatherhood programming across the Williams and Paulding County community.
  • Establish partnerships with local agencies including child support, housing, workforce, and criminal justice systems to strengthen referrals to project.
  • Represent the Fatherhood Program at community events, policy discussions, and regional or state fatherhood initiatives.
  • Coordinate and track community and employer events, ensuring father engagement opportunities are maximized.

Assessment & Case Management

  • Develops Comprehensive Individual Service Strategy (ISS) that assists the father meet their parenting responsibilities and assists them reach their employment goals. Monitors and evaluates father progress toward goal obtainment.
  • Provides training in how to provide intensive case management, vocational guidance, and service coordination.
  • Advocate on behalf of fathers to help navigate social services, healthcare services, legal, and family-related systems, including child support and custody.
  • Will maintain regular contact with fathers through their participation in the program. This includes at least two significant contacts per month as well as other contacts that keep the father engaged in services.
