Unit Manager/Wound Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Unit Manager (RN/LPN) to oversee clinical care and lead nursing staff within our long-term care/skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for staff supervision, care coordination, clinical oversight, and resident outcomes
, while supporting a high standard of care and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for geriatric care
, along with the ability to guide and develop nursing staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs
, ensuring high-quality resident care - Coordinate patient care plans, goals, and discharge planning
- Provide hands‑on clinical support and guidance to staff as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership
- Assist the Director of Nursing with department operations and staffing oversight
- Participate in quality improvement (QI) initiatives, audits, and follow‑up
- Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with resident assessments and care plan development
- Lead and participate in staff education and in‑service training programs
- Support survey readiness and participate in state and regulatory surveys
- Promote a safe, efficient, and positive work environment
- Current RN license in Ohio (required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Prior nursing management or supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures, and patient care standards
- Experience in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high‑pressure situations
- Staff leadership and development
