Job Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Full Time – Nights at Baptist Health Richmond. The Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a secured, therapeutic inpatient setting that provides short-term, intensive psychiatric care to patients experiencing acute mental health crises. This role is an opportunity for compassionate, patient-centered nursing professionals to contribute to multidisciplinary care.
Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans and ensure patient care.
- Assess and identify patient needs and implement appropriate interventions.
- Delegate nursing care activities and supervise nursing staff as needed.
- Establish and maintain a nursing care plan; assure interventions resolve problems.
- Perform technical nursing aspects of care competently.
- Maintain access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks.
- Follow Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
- Current RN licensure or temporary Kentucky work permit.
- Associate Degree in Nursing;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Completion and maintenance of Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Successful completion of all competencies identified on the departmental nurse competency grid.
- Full‑Time 32 weekly hours (0.8 FTE) – 40 weekly hours (1.0 FTE)
