Nurse Professional Development Educator – Generalist

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, plan, implement, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate educational activities through a systems model
• Collaborate with staff, leadership, faculty and researchers to implement and evaluate professional development programs
• Support patient care by being a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team
• Conduct learning needs assessments and validate identified needs
• Identify practice gaps related to the educational needs of learners
• Establish a plan that prescribes strategies, alternatives, and resources to achieve expected outcomes
• Implement the educational plan
• Evaluate progress toward outcomes and revise based on evaluation data

• Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing-Preferred
• RN
  - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN
  - Multi-state Compact
• BLS
  - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS
  - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I
  - Basic Life Support
  - Instructor
• Minimum 3 years of nursing practice experience
• Experience with direct patient care
• Ability to read, write, and speak English language
• Advanced computer skills
• Critical thinking skills and education innovation are maturing
