Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 22-bed telemetry unit caring for complex cardiac and post-op patients, requiring an active KY or compact RN license.

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of hire
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

• 22-bed telemetry/med-surg unit caring for complex patients including CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-op cases
• Patients admitted from ICU, ED, and PACU
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 0.9 FTE position
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document according to scope of practice and hospital policy
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge planning with Case Management
• Provide patient and family education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
  
  Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and pressure ulcer monitoring
• Collaborate closely with the interprofessional care team to support a healing, patient-centered environment
