Quality Assurance Specialist

A client in the Sandusky, OH area is seeking a QA/QC Specialist for a top construction client. This candidate will be responsible for developing and executing project quality programs to ensure compliance with construction standards, project specifications, and client requirements. They will review drawings and shop drawings, manage RFIs, validate field information, conduct inspections, and oversee pre-pour quality processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction quality management, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure successful execution of complex construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Develop and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans
• Validate construction drawings against project requirements and specifications
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance
• Compile, track, and manage RFIs to ensure issues are addressed promptly
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field leadership to ensure accurate project information is communicated
• Track revisions and ensure field teams are working from the most current documents
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality assurance reviews
• Facilitate and document pre-pour checklist reviews and signoffs
• Verify construction activities comply with project specifications and quality standards - Identify non-conformance issues and support corrective action plans
• Maintain detailed QA/QC records and reporting documentation
