Research Associate I - Norris
Position Summary:
Performance of laboratory procedures, contribute to research design and modification, perform data analysis, interpretation, project management, results summarization, and formal presentations. May participate in the training and supervision of other technical staff.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology or related life science fields.
Job Responsibilities- Tissue culture and maintenance of cell lines
- Preparation and purification of monoclonal antibodies and related proteins
- Processing microbial samples and performance of animal studies under BSLII+ conditions
- Processing of animal samples
- Data analysis and preparation of data for presentation
- Maintenance of records of experimental procedures and results in electronic laboratory notebooks
- Interpretation and presentation of data for laboratory meetings
- Assisting in the training of other technical support staff
- Knowledge of laboratory research principles, scientific methods, and safety practices
- Skill in data collection, analysis, and accurate documentation of research activities
- Ability to interpret results and communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established protocols, and support team operations including training others
Standing or sitting for long periods of time.
