PositionSummary
The Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing support to international distributors, international and domestic customers, and Bettcher global sales managers for order processing, shipping and resolving issues related to sales transactions.
Responsibilities- Be the trusted advisor for direct customers and distributors on a global basis
- Answer distributor/direct customer calls and provide general service and support regarding any transactions, including but not limited to customer orders, returns, shipments and basic product questions
- Receive and enter phone, fax or emailed orders from distributors and direct customers
- Call customers when necessary to advise of shipment delays and/or information necessary to process purchase orders
- Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders
- Initiate orders for replacement parts and/or correcting errors
- Update customer and distributor information in Bettcher’s CRM
- Solicit sale of new or additional services
- Resolve customer issues in a professional manner to continue to make Bettcher a customer’s most valued supplier
- Ensure on‑time delivery of all designated customer/distributor orders
- Initiate and coordinate paperwork and required documents for processing international shipments
- Support Bettcher global sales managers to facilitate good communication between the customer/distributor regarding any order transactions
- Process order returns/credits/warranty claims/RMA’s for direct customers and distributors
- Expedite orders with the factory when necessary
- Inform customers/distributors of changes in shipping dates and make necessary changes to order regarding changes in product availability
- Provide shipping (tracking) information
- Provide information on product pricing, product availability and lead times
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service / inside sales experience (minimum 3 years in sales or sales support area)
- Proficiency in the use of computers including Excel, Word, and the Internet
- Proficiency in using databases for order entry, shipping
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and self‑motivated
- Export compliance and / or international shipping experience
- Employment will be contingent upon a successful pre‑employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to provide proper documentation of eligibility to work in the US (I‑9 form)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field
