Job Summary
Solar Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Residential Solar team. The role generates qualified homeowner appointments for Solar Account Managers through outbound and inbound prospecting and lead qualification. Focused exclusively on pipeline generation and appointment setting – no closing or full‑cycle sales responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities- Generate and qualify residential solar leads via outbound prospecting (calls, emails, SMS).
- Engage prospective customers, introduce solar solutions, assess initial interest and qualification based on home ownership, energy usage, and eligibility.
- Schedule qualified appointments for Solar Account Managers, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Execute structured follow‑up to confirm appointments, improve show rates, and maintain multi‑touch engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach, interactions, lead status, and pipeline progression in CRM.
- Collaborate closely with Solar Account Managers for high‑quality appointment handoff and prospect alignment.
- Consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and performance metrics (call volume, contact rates, appointments set).
- Use strong communication and objection‑handling skills to engage prospective customers.
- Effectively prioritize outreach to maintain a steady pipeline of qualified appointments.
- Stay informed on residential solar offerings, basic industry concepts, and company value propositions.
- Occasional travel required for company‑sponsored training and events.
- Excellent verbal communication; quick rapport building over the phone.
- Experience in a high‑volume outbound calling environment with activity‑based metrics.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to meet or exceed performance goals.
- Skilled at managing multiple communication channels (calls, email, SMS).
- Proficient in handling objections, navigating customer concerns, and maintaining professionalism.
- Independent and team‑oriented work style.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel) and CRM platforms.
- Adaptable to feedback and process changes.
- Interest in renewable energy and sustainability preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong desire to succeed in a performance‑driven role.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field OR at least 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, call centre, or lead generation. Preference for experience in a metrics‑driven environment and with CRM systems. Remote or hybrid work ability required.

- Appointment quality as measured by downstream sales outcome
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. Sponsorship is not available.
Salary Range$35,000.00 – $45,000.00 (base pay only). Incentive earnings, including commissions or bonuses, are not included. Commission eligibility applies.
