As a Maintenance Technician
, you will perform general and preventive maintenance in the distribution center, ensuring the facility runs properly on a day‑to‑day basis by completing necessary repairs, modifications, and preventative care.
- Support and perform reactive repairs and preventive maintenance on conveyor and sorter equipment, including troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing conveyor system controls.
- Repair or replace defective mechanical equipment as needed.
- Conduct general facility repairs such as plumbing, lighting, painting, and wall repair.
- Perform low‑ and high‑voltage electrical troubleshooting and other tasks involving AC & DC up to 480‑volts, including repair or replacement of system components.
- Apply knowledge of 480‑volt circuits, basic PLC, motor controls, welding, fabrication, and reading electrical prints.
- Communicate maintenance progress and issues to the maintenance supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, Federal, State, and OSHA guidelines, and general work guidelines.
- Accomplish other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Work well in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certificate (e.g., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyor/sortation control systems and related equipment, in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of power tools, hand tools, and equipment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- PC skills:
Microsoft Office, basic math skills. - Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize appropriately, cope well with change, and maintain composure under pressure.
