Senior Field Service Technican

In this role, you will execute service work as per work instructions, adhering to ABB quality and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service, execute field service tasks, and support customer retention by effectively communicating service timelines and expectations.

• Work on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvement and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, including identifying technical issues and conducting on-site troubleshooting within certified areas.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end‑of‑life services, and replacements.
• Support the certification process of Associate Field Service Technicians and Field Service Technicians; coach technicians and supervise complex site activities; act as trainer when needed.
• Prepare material lists for service activities and ensure all materials, parts, and equipment meet quality standards and are available. Proactively identify potential equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction by building and maintaining positive relationships, identifying potential new sales opportunities, and communicating them internally.
• Identify opportunities for product and quality improvements; provide recommendations to management for improving operations and customer service.
• Follow safety protocols, maintain safe work and environmental practices, and report unsafe practices and incidents.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 6+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment OR Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with 8+ years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment OR High School Diploma/GED and equivalent work and/or military experience (10+ years) servicing critical power equipment.
• Advanced ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization; collaborates well with others.
• Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office products; moderate ability to project manage using MS Project or Excel.
• Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results.
• Advanced ability to stay organized and meet deadlines on administrative duties.
• Works with a sense of urgency and ownership; until the job is complete!
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Base salary is determined by qualifications and experience; this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually.
