Carpenter — Ada, OklahomaThis role is responsible for the acquisition of material, installation of material, and monitoring of jobsite safety.
What You Will Do:- Build barriers for various types of jobsite environments, including scaffolding, drywall partitions, wood/metal forms, cabinetry work, etc.
- Prepare work area by removing objects interfering with work, ensuring all materials are at the jobsite, and performing preliminary work.
- Work with varied materials including wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall.
- Utilize tools such as chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to erect and repair structures.
- Use leveling tools such as levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
- Join materials with nails, screws, staples or adhesives.
- Safely operate a variety of saws and other carpentry tools.
- Check work along the way to ensure it meets all code and specification requirements.
- Comprehend and follow epidemiology requirements and safety (ICRA and PCRA) documents.
- Install a variety of Division 10 accessories in commercial environments, such as multi‑stall toilet partitions, fire extinguisher cabinets, and access panels.
- Implement comprehensive wall protection systems, including the precise installation of corner guards, crash rails, and wall panels, ensuring adherence to design specifications and building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to lay out and execute installation plans, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project completion.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate workflow and ensure all Division 10 installations are completed on time and within budget.
- Perform finish carpentry duties such as installing architectural trim, shelving, and other fixtures, upholding high standards of craftsmanship.

- Minimum two years of carpentry experience.

Qualifications:
- Must understand safety rules and tool/equipment instructions.
- Have the ability to take measurements and make calculations.
- Have good communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Must pass any skills tests as required by the jobsite.
- Ability to problem solve when errors occur.
- Keep tools and workspace organized.
- Must be conscious of time schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must be able to tolerate heights without fear.
- Must have own hand tools, power tools to be provided by Christman.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 60 miles a day depending on project location relative to where the employee lives.
