Field Service Technician

Rate: $25/hr

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Duration: 6-months+

Schedule: Typically M - F; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (with response to emergency service calls as directed, which may occasionally occur nights, weekends, or holidays)

This is a hands‑on position that requires technical problem‑solving, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Travel to customer location to perform service work
• Provide accurate and timely documentation, including monthly expense reports, daily service call reports, weekly inventory tracking, and field service reports
• Maintain detailed records of all service visits, noting technical issues and corrective actions
• Prioritize workload with manager to ensure an efficient, cost-effective preventative maintenance schedule
• Independently execute tasks as assigned
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and customer issues with effective problem‑solving skills
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer personnel, representing the company in a professional manner
• Provide customer training on our products as needed
• Assist in other locations as required, based on business needs.

• Technical aptitude in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, PLC devices
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and driven to deliver results.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
