Job Summary /Basic FunctionsThe Electrician Assistant works directly with the electric shop supervisor on a daily basis and with the assistant director as need arises to assure that all university electrical systems operate at the highest efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications EducationHigh School Diploma or GED
ExperienceOne year of previous and directly related experience
Licensure & CertificationsCurrent Kentucky Drivers License
Preferred QualificationsJob Duties
- 10% - Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University.
- () - 60% - Assists Electrician or Master electricians in performing routine maintenance on University electrical systems - (Essential)
- 10% - Leads Laborers in performing routine maintenance on university electrical equipment as required by established procedures.
- (Essential) - 10% - Assists in inventory control of required repair parts and tools as outlined in established procedures.
- (Essential) - 10% - Assists in time keeping, blueprint takeoffs, material lists and acquisition as required.
