Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Actively communicate to faculty, staff, and students about Counseling Services and Behavioral Intervention Team through presentations and programming

Oversee counseling referrals to community partners

Participate in the campus-wide promotion, administration and utilization monitoring of a student wellness platform

Provide student crisis intervention as needed in partnership with student wellness platform, Campus Safety and community crisis resources

Develop, implement, and monitor budgets on an annual basis

Ensure accuracy of information on the college website

Develop annual goals and objectives for counseling department with measurable outcomes

Review and make annual recommendations for changes to sections of the college catalog relating to all counseling and intervention services

Conduct regular evaluations of services provided

Develop and coordinate the alcohol and drug prevention programs and events

Coordinate and plan support programming for students as needed

Act as Chair of the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT), and facilitate team-based intervention and safety planning related to students experiencing a crisis or safety concerns

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of social work, counseling, educational administration, vocational leadership or a closely related field
* and*Two (2) years work experience in a related field

Note:

Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree

Case management experience working with diverse student populations

Knowledge of crisis intervention and safety planning
