Mobile Medical Trailer Truck Driver – CDL Dedicated Routes (Full Time, Nights)
Job SummaryWe are seeking dependable and efficient CDL Class A truck drivers to drive tractor trailers for local deliveries of medical diagnostic equipment. Drivers must be organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience are required.
Key Responsibilities- Drive tractor trailers configured for mobile medical imaging units (MRI, PET, CT).
- Move trailers at night to hospitals and medical clinics where daytime MRI/CT techs scan during the day.
- Pick up the truck at the designated parking location each day and deliver trailers to client sites.
- Unload or pack up the trailer, set up or tear down equipment (30–45 minutes).
- Transport 1–2 trailers each night.
- Follow shift schedule: 2PM to 6PM start / 12AM to 4AM finish, working 8–10 hour shifts, 4–5 times a week, including weeknights and some weekend nights.
- Operate and safely drive the assigned vehicle, ensure trailers are securely connected.
- Set up medical equipment at destination and comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
- Monitor, report, and repair any mechanical or safety issues that could prevent safe transport of company equipment.
- Perform quality‑assurance checks on equipment after arrival at site as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid commercial driver’s license in the state of residence and DOT medical certification.
- Clean DOT driving record.
- At least one year of experience driving tractors with automatic transmission; two years preferred.
- Ability to set up medical diagnostic equipment at delivery sites (training provided).
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy tractor trailers.
- Ability to drive safely and avoid damage to equipment or client property.
- Aware that drivers may be exposed to strong magnetic fields, noise, or other environmental hazards.
- Ability to lift up to 100lb. at a time, with typical lifts of 30–60lb. for patients, 30–50lb. for stairs, and 30lb. for electrical cords.
