POSITION OVERVIEW
Coordinates movement of freight in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner. Tracks freight movement and updates Transportation Management system and all other pertinent contacts to reflect movement. Ensures route optimization via the TM system and can amend routes manually. Communicates with all contacts regarding status and issues, proactively reacting to transportation problems. Resolves issues with contacts and provides feedback to ISPs when failures occur.
Familiarizes new owner operators on processes, paperwork and onboard computer operation. Ensures ISPs follow DOT regulations, hours of service, and safety regulations, providing feedback when failures occur. Works with safety department to keep paperwork up to date. Ensures safe cross-border deliveries comply with U.S. and Canadian laws, where applicable. Coordinates movement of overflow freight and communicates ISP route changes and compliance to cold-chain requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in transportation management, logistics, distribution, or related field.
- 6+ years progressive related experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Coordinates with ISPs and dispatches to ensure timely and safe freight movement; manages overflow freight and resolves transportation problems for customers.
- Communicates with ISPs to confirm they can meet window times, develops plans when drivers cannot meet windows, and works with other Transportation Reps to cover all loads.
- Maintains computer records of daily load activities, service percentages, and delay times; updates contacts and communicates delays and failures.
- Monitors trailer temperatures when applicable and ensures regular communication with ISPs.
- Analyzes freight flow information and recommends route improvements; collaborates with Analyst group to implement changes and maximize service and revenue.
- Ensures ISPs follow DOT regulations and maintain required logs and records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Good analytical, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
Pay range: $20.90 – $26.80 per hour, depending on experience. Employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
