American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Rehab position requiring 2+ years of experience, telemetry interpretation skills, and prior travel nursing experience.

• Work in the Cardiac Rehab unit of a community hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac and post-surgical cases such as angina, hypertension, post cardiac surgery, post MI, and post vascular surgery
• Uses telemetry for on-unit cardiac monitoring
• EMR system used is Epic
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Block scheduling is generally allowed, with staff completing self-scheduling unless staffing gaps require balancing
• Floating required in rotation with staff according to facility policy, with orientation provided to new units

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required and must be in-hand prior to start
• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS, with AHA certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Skilled in interpreting telemetry and dysrhythmias, and managing cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood glucose monitoring, diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment and prevention, infection prevention, and pain assessment and management

• Responsibilities include cardiac rehab patient care, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and patient teaching on diabetic care and fall risk prevention
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends
• Requests for time off should be submitted in advance, with a preference for no RTO during the first weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
