Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Rehab position requiring MO or compact licensure, telemetry interpretation skills, and prior travel nursing experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required in-hand prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior cardiac rehab experience required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias required
• Experience managing cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias required
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Rehab unit of a community hospital setting
• Care for patients with angina, hypertension, post cardiac surgery, post MI, and post vascular surgery conditions
• Perform on-unit telemetry monitoring and blood glucose monitoring
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Block scheduling generally allowed, though staff may need to balance schedules during staffing gaps
• Self-scheduling utilized among staff
• Floating required in rotation with staff, based on clinical experience and with appropriate orientation to the new unit
• Local candidates accepted
• No radius restriction
• Responsibilities include diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment and prevention, infection prevention, pain assessment and management, and patient teaching
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response as part of daily duties
• Expect to work some holidays
• Requests for time off should be submitted in advance, with a preference for no RTO during the first weeks of the assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
