Account Receivable Specialist
The Accounts Receivable Specialist (A/R Specialist) is responsible for effectively managing a portion of Oak Bend Medical Center's Accounts Receivable accounts, including third‑party and government payers. The role ensures timely and accurate collection, resolution, and processing of accounts, enabling the organization to focus on excellent and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities- Direct contact with payer representatives to collect and resolve accounts.
- Prioritize claims to optimize money collected.
- Meet team productivity goals.
- Verify the accuracy of payments received.
- Follow up timely on discrepancies and denials.
- Actively pursue all available payment avenues to maximize reimbursement.
- High school diploma or GED; relevant experience may be considered.
- Two years of administrative work experience.
- None required licenses or certifications.
- Typing speed of 35 words per minute.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of collection laws and ability to handle extensive phone calls.
- Strong communication skills with customers.
