* Inputs and transfers reports and supplements into computer database;
Prepares records for scanning and archiving.
* Assists and responds to public and other law enforcement personnel at lobby window or by telephone and/or directs to appropriate person.
* Answers incoming mail, fax and NCIC/TCIC for inquiries on reports and background checks.
* Files and maintains filing system for all official accident, case and jail records for the department;
Maintains security for all records.
* Maintains cash fund and prepares weekly cash deposits.
* Prepares TLETS validations.
* Prepares computer merges.
* Prepares information requested in subpoenas for court appearances and information requested in Open Records Request.
* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Minimum Requirements   
* U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
* High School Diploma/GED
* Six months job related experience
* Good computer and typing skills.
* Working knowledge of database software.
* Good verbal and written communication skills along with bookkeeping and organizational skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
* Ability to prioritize own work.
* TCIC/NCIC Less than Full Access within first year of employment.
* Valid Texas Driver's License ** *
