Part Time Cosmetology Instructor

Location: WCJC Wharton or Richmond Campus, TX

Department: Vocational Instruction's Area

Pay for this position is $2,400 per 3‑hour credit course per semester. Day and evening positions available on the Wharton and Richmond campuses.

The permanent responsibility of a faculty member is to provide the most effective instruction possible in his/her discipline. Supervision is received from the appropriate supervisor. The faculty member works to insure that his/her instruction meets the educational needs of students.

This position requires a Cosmetology Operators license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and a certificate of cosmetology instructor training of 500 hours or more if the candidate did not previously hold a Cosmetology Operator Instructors license prior to September 1, 2021. Thirty‑six months of full‑time work experience are also required, as is a criminal background check.
