Swahili Teachers (Native speakers) at Swahili Lab deliver engaging, structured lessons to learners of varying proficiency levels Remotely. This role involves planning and implementing lesson plans, teaching Swahili language skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), and integrating cultural elements into daily instruction. Teachers assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual and group learning needs. Responsibilities also include preparing teaching materials, participating in training or curriculum development sessions, maintaining accurate records of learner performance, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
Qualifications- Strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience delivering language instruction to diverse learners.
- Ability in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing structured lessons and supporting learner development.
- Excellent Communication skills in Swahili (native fluency) and proficient English for classroom and parent/guardian interactions.
- Prior experience in language teaching, tutoring, or cultural education is highly beneficial.
- Relevant academic background in Education, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Richmond, TX and maintain a professional, inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a genuine passion for sharing Swahili language and culture.
