JOB ROLES:

To fulfill SST Schools' mission and goals through two integrated areas of responsibility: (1) coordinating and supporting the campus-level implementation of SST's Character Education Initiative, including the Kern Family Foundation–funded character education priorities; and (2) supporting family and community engagement efforts through the FACE Department by fostering meaningful partnerships among students, families, staff, and community stakeholders to strengthen student success and school culture.

This position reports administratively to the Campus Dean of Students and serves as the campus implementation coordinator for character education. Working under the direction of the Campus Dean of Students and in close collaboration with the District Character Education Coordinator, the position supports campus implementation, facilitates implementation and coordination across assigned feeder campuses, and assists the Dean of Students in fulfilling the campus's character education responsibilities and advancing SST's Character Formation Roadmap 2026–2029.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required

Successful teaching and/or school leadership experience preferred

Prior experience in character education, student leadership, school culture, or related initiatives preferred

FACE PROGRAMS RESPONSIBILITIES (0.5 FTE):

Promote the creation and development of new clubs and help identify potential club advisors among existing campus personnel; provide resources/training opportunities for club advisors.

Support student club advisors for fundraising opportunities and supervise requests for club projects and fundraisers.

Support all stakeholders in identifying, developing, and maintaining mentoring programs.

Organize, support, and coordinate engagement activities and events for students, parents, and staff.

Create programs to help students to and through high school and college.

Collaborate with all stakeholders (admins, staff, students, parents, parent volunteer committee, community leaders, higher education institutions, etc.) to fulfill the school mission and goals.

Analyze and evaluate ongoing FACE programs, providing data to the administration and central office executives.

Meet with the principal and Director of Programs regularly to report and discuss concerns.

Collaborate with the Regional FACE Coordinator on middle-high school transition, internships, certificate programs, scholarships, and senior-alumni transition.

Organize expedition/exploration programs such as college trips, in/out-of-state trips, camps, and Festival of Language and Culture.

Oversee the Before/After School Care Program.

CHARACTER EDUCATION RESPONSIBILITIES (0.5 FTE):

Coordinate and support the campus-level implementation of SST's Character Education Initiative under the direction of the Campus Dean of Students and in collaboration with the District Character Education Coordinator.
