Amazon Prime Air is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Flight Monitor to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our advanced drone fleet. The Flight Monitor will provide real‑time monitoring of drone flights, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

• Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region using state‑of‑the‑art monitoring systems.
• Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
• Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
• Coordinate effectively with relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies, providing feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
• Utilize excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high‑pressure environment.

• Ability to carry or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capacity to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Ability to perform these tasks repeatedly and frequently throughout the shift.

• Work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

• Export Control License:
  This position may require a deemed export control license. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to acquire a license on the applicant’s behalf.
• Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing may be required for safety‑sensitive functions as defined by the FAA. Amazon will determine test eligibility before hiring.

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of weather patterns for flight operations.
• Ability to decode METAR readings and interpret weather conditions that may affect operations, recommending appropriate actions.
• Experience interpreting flight monitoring systems or similar technical platforms.
• Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations or similar technical platforms.
• Understanding and application of FAA regulations, aviation policy, and safety protocols.
• Experience working in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions, including outdoor and refrigerated settings.
• Demonstrated record of good attendance and consistently arriving on time for scheduled shifts.

• Experience in aviation, drone operations, or a similar real‑time monitoring role.
• Experience with technical or engineering record‑keeping methods and tools.
• Excellent decision‑making capabilities under pressure.
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
