AtTender Care PPEC, our Business Development Specialist will help connect medically complex children and their families with safe, dependable, and compassionate pediatric care.
This is a relationship-focused role for someone who knows how to build relationships, earn trust, and follow through. You will be an advocate for Tender Care and the families we serve while helping educate the Texas healthcare market about PPECC and the important role pediatric medical daycare can play in a child’s care.
What You’ll DoEvery day looks a little different, but your impact is constant:
- Represent and advocate for Tender Care, the children in our care, and the families we serve
- Help educate healthcare professionals, community partners, and families throughout the Texas market about PPECC services and pediatric medical daycare
- Build referral relationships with pediatric healthcare providers, hospitals, Medicaid plans, schools, and community partners. Identify new referral opportunities throughout Richmond, Fort Bend County, Harris County, and surrounding communities
- Generate qualified referrals and work with our nursing and admin team to help families move through the enrollment process
- Consistently follow up with referral sources, families, and potential patients
- Schedule office visits, presentations, community meetings, and center tours
- Attend healthcare events, family events, networking opportunities, and community programs where Tender Care should have a presence
- Develop a weekly outreach plan and manage your territory with purpose
- Keep accurate records of contacts, visits, referrals, follow-up, and new enrollments
- Full-time, field-based position
- Regular travel throughout the Greater Houston area
- Evening and weekend availability as needed for events and Networking

- Experience in healthcare business development, medical sales, referral development, admissions, or community outreach
- Strong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills
- The ability to work independently and remain accountable for referral and census goals
