Collaboration. Authenticity. Connection. Balance.

At Cohere, we believe community is the most valuable amenity.

We do more than manage communities—we help create places where people connect, belong, and thrive. By partnering with some of the nation's most innovative master-planned communities, we create places residents are proud to call home and where meaningful relationships flourish.

We're looking for a Community Operations Manager to join our team at Indigo, a thoughtfully designed community in Richmond, Texas.

Indigo is not a typical master-planned community. It is a deliberately designed environment rooted in connection, culture, and a shared vision for how people live alongside one another. Built around the Belonging Framework, Indigo prioritizes relationships, participation, and a sense of place over traditional models of community management.

Residents are highly engaged, expectations are elevated, and the way the community operates is intentional. This is a community where the work goes beyond operations—it requires presence, sound judgment, and the ability to translate vision into everyday experiences.

In this role, you'll oversee essential community operations while building trusted relationships with residents, volunteers, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders. You'll balance governance, financial oversight, project coordination, asset management, and resident service while helping create an environment where people feel seen, valued, and connected.

This is an opportunity to bring operational excellence and meaningful community-building together in a role with visible impact.

If you're an organized, relationship-focused professional who can confidently navigate complex situations while keeping people and purpose at the center of the work, we'd love to meet you.

Why People Choose Cohere

The best communities are built by people who feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work. That's why we invest in benefits, time away, and professional growth that help our team members thrive both personally and professionally.

Highlights Include:

  • Medical coverage available on your first day
  • Employer-paid dental coverage
  • Vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Employer-paid Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability coverage
  • Pet insurance options
  • Employee Assistance Program with mental health, financial, legal, and family support resources
  • Travel assistance and identity theft protection
  • Complimentary will preparation services
  • Generous paid time off
  • 16 paid holidays each year, including a Birthday Day and Volunteer Day, in addition to PTO
  • Professional development and growth opportunities

What You'll Do

Relationship Building & Community Engagement
  • Build trusted, authentic relationships with residents, volunteers, committees, commercial owners, partners, and other community stakeholders.
  • Help create opportunities for connection, inclusion, participation, and engagement throughout the community.
  • Support environments where residents feel welcomed, recognized, valued, and connected to the broader community.
  • Encourage constructive dialogue, bridge differing perspectives, and help remove barriers to participation.
  • Assist with welcoming new residents and property owners into the community.
Communication & Customer Service
  • Serve as a responsive and professional resource for resident and stakeholder questions received in person, by phone, and in writing.
  • Communicate community guidelines, operational updates, governing-document information, and next steps clearly and thoughtfully.
  • Coordinate follow-up on reported community concerns, including documentation, contractor communication, status tracking, and resident updates.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, mass communications, meeting materials, and relevant website content.
  • Maintain composure and professionalism when navigating sensitive concerns, competing expectations, or difficult conversations.
