Position: 140 RETAIL - BEER SALES/STOCKER - FT (81036)

Job Summary

Provide guests with an exceptional shopping experience by stocking shelves, assisting with product questions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment at the Fulshear, TX location.

Responsibilities
  • Know and demonstrate the company mission statement and core values daily.
  • Maintain uniform standards as detailed in the employee manual for all worked hours.
  • Greet guests with a friendly demeanor, prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Unload and register items as needed, keeping the register lane clear.
  • Stock and dust shelves, ensuring items are proper and up to date.
  • Refill the beer cooler, wine cooler, soda case, freezer, and deli case.
  • Remove cases and boxes from the sales floor that are not part of organized displays.
  • Break down and dispose of unused or non‑store boxes.
  • Organize repackaged boxes in designated areas.
  • Clean up broken items; mop floors and place Wet Floor signs when necessary.
  • Sweep and mop the floor regularly.
  • Keep the parking lot free of trash and other unwanted debris.
  • Collect shopping carts from the parking lot on a regular basis.
  • Empty trash receptacles inside the store and outside as needed.
  • Maintain clean and stocked bathrooms.
  • Keep bag trays at registers well stocked.
  • Use proper lifting techniques for all tasks involving weight.
  • Work in accordance with all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Load keg orders using a keg lift if available, seeking assistance as needed.
  • Answer guest questions and provide accurate information.
  • Resolve guest complaints courteously and respectfully.
  • Recommend add‑on items to guests to increase sales.
  • Operate the cash register as business needs dictate.
  • Carry out or dollies merchandise at guest request; accepting tips is allowed but never requested.
  • Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present.
  • Avoid use of personal cell phones while on the sales floor.
  • Prepare assigned areas for inventory and assist in the inventory process if required.
  • Carry out directives from management efficiently.
  • Perform duties with care and attention to detail.
  • Practice teamwork and cooperation with colleagues.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Handle stress in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Stand, lift, carry, walk, and bend regularly, lifting up to 50 pounds routinely, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with proper equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required (retail stocking experience preferred).
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Valid TABC Beverage Seller's Permit required; TABC course is provided and reimbursed by the company.
  • Food Handler's Permit may be required in some areas.
Physical Requirements

The job requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Proper lifting techniques must be used. The candidate must be able to push and pull equipment weighing 50–100 pounds.

Hours & Schedule

Full‑time: typically 35 hours per week. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and at least 80% of all weekly shifts. Part‑time: up to 25 hours per week. Availability for additional hours may be required by business needs. Working outside approved hours without manager approval is prohibited.

Work Environment

Customer‑facing retail setting with moderate noise levels. Regular exposure to outdoor weather when delivering merchandise. A positive team environment is emphasized.
