Position: (USA) Member Specialist

Position Summary

As a member frontend services associate at Sam's Club, you will provide member service, maintain checkout area, resolve member issues and concerns, promote Sam's Club products and services, guide and support members regarding self‑service technology, process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and follow company safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
  • Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise.
  • Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintains entrance areas and verifies membership cards.
  • Assists members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise.
  • Zones the area and arranges and organizes merchandise.
  • Assists members with transporting items and maintains a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, and assists with securing Sam's Club assets and property.
  • Maintains paperwork, logs, and required documentation and executes emergency response procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
  • Assists with training of member frontend services associates, teaching new technology and tool functionality.
  • Delivers new program rollout training and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Embraces differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences to create a workplace where associates feel seen, supported and connected through a culture of belonging.
