Flow Inventory Associate

Position Overview

As a Flow Inventory Associate, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining Car Max’s best‑in‑class vehicle inventory and customer experience. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and take pride in accuracy and organization. You’ll handle vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads, ensuring every car meets Car Max’s quality standards.

• Maintain accurate inventory by following Car Max inventory processes.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to Car Max and prepare title packets for transfers.
• Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized.
• Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
• Execute photo station process for  listings.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
• Follow Car Max Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Car Max driving standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
• Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.

$18.50 - $25.80

Car Max Associates are entitled to paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Qualified full‑time associates earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year and 80–200 hours of vacation time after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service. All associates receive 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus a floating holiday. Full‑time salaried associates have paid time away with no specified limit, subject to manager approval.
