Responsibilities

As an Equipment Operator in the Streets division, you can expect to operate a variety of equipment, including a small roller, front-end loader, tractor mower, and dump truck. Your daily routine will involve conducting pre-operation inspections to ensure the equipment is in safe working condition. You'll be responsible for executing tasks such as pothole repairs, road patching, and street maintenance, all while adhering to safety protocols.

Collaboration with your team will be essential, as you will assist in coordinating projects and responding to work orders. Maintaining accurate records of daily operations and equipment usage will also be expected. What you need to be successful

To excel as an Equipment Operator in the Streets division, strong technical skills and a solid understanding of heavy machinery operation are essential. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Required to have a valid Class "B" CDL or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment used in construction, repair, and maintenance, including operating a laser level.
  • Must be able to work independently without supervision.
