Position: Lead Delivery Driver - Full Time

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver Lead is responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of delivery drivers and their operations, serving as a liaison between long‑term care facilities and delivery staff. The role includes training all transportation personnel and coordinating work schedules, delivery routes, and monitoring workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train all transportation personnel.
  • Coordinate work schedules and delivery routes.
  • Monitor workflow to analyze patterns and trends.
  • Conduct routine staff meetings.
  • Maintain vehicles in good and safe condition to comply with DOT, OSHA, state and federal regulations, and Omnicare policies.
  • Coordinate all special deliveries with the operations supervisor.
  • Ensure accurate shipments, timely deliveries, and perform physical inventories.
  • Retrieve medication totes, scan medication pending for delivery, and check bins before departure.
  • Assist pharmacy floor during downtime.
  • Scan manifests into the system for confirmation of delivery.
  • Respect privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use routing software.
  • Ability to drive a standard transmission (if applicable).
  • Ability to concentrate on a task for an extended period without distraction.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active listening and problem‑solving skills.
  • Basic math skills for dosage calculations.
  • Judgment in recognizing potential problems and determining appropriate actions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional education beyond high school.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $18.50 - $35.29 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography and other factors.
