This backup supervisory position is located at the Richmond State Supported Living Center Warehouse, but Supply Services also serves patients/residents at 22 other facilities around the State, so there are opportunities for growth and movement to other parts of Texas if desired. The Warehouse Lead III reports to the Warehouse Supervisor, Supply Services. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Must actively participate and/or serve in a Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation as warehouses must maintain a level of full operational capabilities, regardless of disaster declaration, weather, or other serious impediments to operation.
The Warehouse Lead III (Back-up Warehouse Supervisor) is a key position for Supply Services with essential functions offering opportunities to gain experience related to using modern receiving software systems, warehouse equipment andlogisticsto assure the patients/residents we serve are supplied their needed supplies for daily living. In the absence of the Warehouse Supervisorthis position supervises and trainsstaff, whileactivelyparticipatingin daily warehouse activities while guiding the team to ensure efficient operations continue.
The Warehouse Lead III performs moderate logistical inventory and warehouse work. This isaccomplishedthrough coordinating warehouse operations and supplies,maintaining security of stateproperty,and warehouse stock inventory. Duties include monitoring stock levels for loss prevention and adequate supply tofacilities andensuringwarehouse operations are in compliance with established procedures.
Additional tasks include processing replenishments of stock, inventory management, putting away goods, rotating stock, pulling orders from inventory stockbins,and delivering goods to state facilities.
