Accounting Manager

Radiology Associates of Richmond (RAR), a 50+ member single specialty medical practice providing imaging services for seven hospitals in the Central Virginia market, is seeking an Accounting Manager to help oversee the daily operations of the accounting team and to assist the CFO in process improvement.

• Assist the CFO in driving change, documenting processes, and creating efficiencies
• Managing and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the accounting department containing 4 to 5 staff
• Monitoring department operations to ensure compliance with governmental and other regulations
• Ensuring standards established by accrediting agencies and others are met
• Maintaining responsibility for accurate and timely accounting, including fixed assets and payroll with limited supervision
• Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements
• Interpreting financial reports and statements for management
• Maintaining responsibility for HCA Center Operations reports

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting
• CPA is a plus but not required
• 10+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to drive change are critical
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable FASB Accounting Rules for the medical industry
• Experience in Quick Books accounting software and Paylocity payroll
