Accounting Associate

Our client, a reputable organization in the finance and accounting sector, is seeking a dedicated Accounting Associate to join their team. As an Accounting Associate, you will be an integral part of the finance department supporting payroll, accounts payable, and human resources functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Associate

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (DOE)

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible)

• Processing weekly/biweekly payroll accurately and efficiently
• Verifying employee hours and maintaining precise timekeeping data
• Handling adjustments, deductions, and payroll reports
• Performing full-cycle accounts payable tasks including invoice entry, coding, and payment processing
• Supporting human resources functions such as onboarding, benefits updates, and maintaining employee files

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting, payroll, or accounts payable roles
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Quick Books, or similar
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
• Excellent multi-tasking, prioritization, and communication skills
