Insight Global is currently hiring an Accountant for a large manufacturing client in the Richmond, VA area. This position will start as a 6-9 month contract but will have the chance for extension or potential conversion based on performance! This role will be standard work hours Monday through Friday and will be a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and at least 3 years of experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries and cost allocations
- Participate in month-end close and review of financial results
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate outstanding items
- Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries or reports
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Provide ad hoc financial reports, analysis and projects as requested
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 or more years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficient in Excel and other analytical tools
