Contract-to-hire opening, 100% on-site, located in The Fan District within Richmond City.

The Accounting Specialist supports daily accounting operations with a focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and billing accuracy. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager and internal teams (service, parts, and sales) to ensure timely invoicing, accurate vendor payments, and strong financial record integrity.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Process high-volume vendor invoices and match to purchase orders
- Verify pricing, quantities, and tax accuracy
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
- Prepare weekly payment runs (check, ACH, credit card)
- Maintain vendor records and W-9s
- Generate invoices for equipment, rentals, parts, and service
- Apply customer payments and manage aging
- Assist with collections and resolve billing discrepancies
- Ensure service/job billing accuracy
- Assist with inventory reconciliation
- Support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
- Maintain organized financial documentation
