Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. This role is essential for ensuring smooth financial operations, including handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices and preparing payments.

- Manage accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely collection and accurate recording of payments.

- Utilize Quick Books to maintain and update financial records efficiently.

- Perform detailed data entry to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.

- Handle invoice processing, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files for auditing purposes.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies in financial data.

- Prepare periodic financial reports to support decision-making processes.

- Assist with general administrative tasks related to accounting operations. Requirements - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Hands-on experience with Quick Books for financial management.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and related procedures.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.

- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines.

- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
