Richmond Security, Inc. (RSI) is seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and highly organized Bookkeeper to manage the company's day-to-day financial transactions and support accurate financial reporting. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining clean financial records across multiple business divisions, supporting payroll coordination, managing payables and receivables, and ensuring compliance with accounting best practices.
This role requires discretion, accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced service business environment.

Key Responsibilities Daily & Weekly Accounting FunctionsRecord financial transactions in accounting software (Quick Books Enterprise preferred)
Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and payments
Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections tracking
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial statements
Maintain accurate general ledger entries
Monitor cash flow and report variances
Coordinate payroll data with third-party payroll provider
Track time entries and labor allocations by department/division
Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation
Assist with employee expense reimbursements
Prepare monthly financial reports for management review
Assist with budgeting and financial tracking
Maintain organized financial records for audits and tax preparation
Support CPA with year-end financial reporting
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation
Track purchase orders and job costing data
Assist with inventory accounting coordination
Support internal financial controls and process improvements
Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in a service, construction, or field-service business
Experience with job costing and project accounting
Familiarity with inventory tracking
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience coordinating with outsourced payroll providers
