Job Overview

This position is an onsite role based out of our Richmond, VA office.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable related to property operations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and property‑level balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and supporting month‑end close activities.
  • Review invoice coding, approvals, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to posting.
  • Partner with Property Managers, tenants, and vendors to address accounting inquiries and resolve financial issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
  • Communicate with property managers, tenants, and vendors regarding financial matters.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of progressive property accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry.
  • Proficiency with Yardi, Avid Xchange, or similar property management and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Compensation

Approximate Compensation Rate for this Role: $21.83 to $26.25/hr
