Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually
Position Summary:
A highly skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will own complex accounting activities, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, and support scalable accounting operations as the business expands. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical judgment, process-improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Record, review, and reconcile general ledger activity to ensure accurate and complete financial results.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, dashboards, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyze budget variances, trends, and financial performance to support forecasting, planning, and business decisions.
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, including issue resolution, account analysis, and vendor/customer coordination.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations, and related reporting.
- Support lease accounting, including lease tracking, journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and internal controls.
- Help build scalable accounting operations through standardized close procedures, documentation, workflows, and reporting practices.
- Coordinate with external auditors and support compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve data integrity, provide financial insight, and support operational decision-making.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting; manufacturing and distribution experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Experience improving accounting processes and supporting scalable close, reporting, documentation, and control environments in a growing organization.
- Proficient in Net Suite or similar ERP systems, with advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, project-management, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally through change, ambiguity, and evolving business needs.
